About Intellectual Property Rights:

Patent is an exclusive right granted by the State for an invention that is new, involves an inventive step and is capable of industrial application. It gives its owner an exclusive right to prevent or stop others from making, using, offering for sale, selling or importing a product or a process, based on the patented invention, without the owner’s prior permission.

A trademark is a sign capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one enterprise from those of other enterprises. Trademarks are protected by intellectual property rights

Copyright is a type of intellectual property that gives its owner the exclusive right to make copies of creative work, usually for a limited time. The creative work may be in a literary, artistic, educational, or musical form.

Geographical Indications (GI) are names associated with goods which identify such goods as agriculture goods, natural goods or manufactured goods as originating, or manufactured in the territory of a country or a region or locality in that territory, where a given quality, reputation or other characteristic of such goods is essentially attributable to its geographical origin.
