About Intellectual Property Rights
The advantages mentioned below are only enjoyed by the companies which are incorporated according to the provisions laid out in the Companies Act of 2013. Non incorporated companies do not enjoy these benefits.
PATENTS
Patent is an exclusive right granted by the State for an invention that is new, involves an inventive step and is capable of industrial application. It gives its owner an exclusive right to prevent or stop others from making, using, offering for sale, selling or importing a product or a process, based on the patented invention, without the owner’s prior permission.
TRADEMARKS
A trademark is a sign capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one enterprise from those of other enterprises. Trademarks are protected by intellectual property rights
COPYRIGHTS
Copyright is a type of intellectual property that gives its owner the exclusive right to make copies of creative work, usually for a limited time. The creative work may be in a literary, artistic, educational, or musical form.
